CFD CORPS CONTACT STATUS

The Company needs to take advantage of the internet distribution of information. If you take a moment to consider, you will see that the reasons for this are obvious:

• Timeliness of information distribution is paramount.
• This is an all volunteer organization. Requiring a secretary to print out information (meeting agenda, minutes, annoncements, etc.), go to a copy center to get copies, print out envelopes, stuff them, etc. is really asking a lot from a volunteer. As an added issue, we have had problems in even getting ANYONE to volunteer as secretary of The Company. People know that it's work, and would much rather complain than work. Human nature, perhaps, but that's life.
• The Company is running a bit in the red these days, and eliminating postage, stationery costs, and copy center costs is really worthwhile.

In this day and age, there can hardly be any corps without at least one person capable of fulfilling this function.

Whether you're a corps leader or just a member, please take a moment to look for your corps in the list below. There are quite a few corps with no email contact listed. There are many with no telephone contact either. If your corps fails in either category, please have your corps contact send the correct data via email to:

                    membership@companyoffifeanddrum.org

And having tried contacting corps by email, it is also obvious that a number of email addresses are out-of-date (i.e. messages sent there bounce). As these become apparent, we will update this status report, so please check again.

Please note also, that a second email address can be accommodated, so if your corps would like to have one, again, just send the data to membership.
