Music Library
The Music Library has collected over 400 accessions relating to three centuries of fife and drum music in the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Switzerland. Also available is the National Tune Index, a microfiche database of more than 58,000 secular tunes from 1636-1836. The listing is now available here for all who are interested in researching the music on file in The Company Archives. Copies of articles in the Library’s collection are available at a nominal fee.

Connecticut is the heart of fife and drum corps activity and home of The Company of Fifers & Drummers, a non-profit organization formed in 1965 to perpetuate the historical significance and folk traditions of fife and drum music and to foster the spirit of fellowship among fifers and drummers everywhere.
