Jaybird Day is an annual event to honor our “old-timers”.  Held at The Company headquarters and museum on the first Saturday in October, it is one of our most enjoyable events of the year.

What is Jaybird Day Like?

The day typically progresses as follows:

  • Registration begins at 10:30 with coffee and refreshments available
  • Lunch will be served at 12:30
  • Around 1:00 p.m. we will pay tribute to this year's Honored Jaybirds
  • After all the honoring is completed door prizes are awarded, there will be a 50/50 raffle, and finally a jam session and all around good time!

This is a great social occasion and an opportunity to thank our old-timers for their contribution to drum corps over the years.

This event is free to all over 60; there is a suggested $10.00 fee for each youngster attending.

The Company of Fifers & Drummers Junior Fife and Drum Camp is offered each year to ensure that the tradition of fifing and drumming is passed down to the next generation and that the quality and scope of fifing and drumming continues to improve, expand, and prosper. This is accomplished through the use of instructional workshops which provide junior corps members with the tools needed to increase their knowledge in various aspects of fifing and drumming. All workshops are conducted in a friendly, open, and professional manner to provide a positive experience for all.

During the off season, The Company holds workshops to help fifers and drummers develop their skills. Typical activities include master classes, junior workshops, and jam sessions intended to support the skill development of the members of the fife and drum community.
