Camp is geared toward those who are interested in learning more about music, history, and the tradition of fife and drum. Historically, campers have had a good time while at camp, and we work very hard to ensure that this is the case. At the same time, however, we are responsible for everyone's safety and well-being, so rules are a necessary component for a successful camp.

Any camper who repeatedly fails to follow the instructions of any chaperone, staff member, or instructor will be referred to the Director and will run the risk of being discharged from camp. If a camper is asked to leave camp due to rule violations, no refund will be provided and the cost of getting the camper home including staff time and travel (if required to return camper) will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Removal of a camper from camp is at the discretion of the Camp Director.

  • No foul language, hazing, bullying, stealing, property damage, or harassment of any kind will be tolerated.
  • Campers will:
    • Stay within our designated area. This area is clearly marked with yellow tape. Campers, including ones who drive themselves to camp, may not go into parking lots without a chaperone or staff member.
    • Check-in with their chaperones before each meal and activity.
    • Wear their lanyards in the camp facility.
    • Eat meals while at camp.
    • Be respectful to all instructors, chaperones, volunteers, and fellow campers at all times.
    • Dress appropriately for a youth music camp. Campers who do not, will be sent to change. The following garments are not permitted: very short mini-skirts, very short shorts, low-cut tops, see-through clothes, clothes with large cut-outs, garments that reveal the midriff, pants that expose undergarments, flip flops. If your child runs out of acceptable clothing, we will provide a neutral t-shirt or sweatpants for him/her to wear. What are good choices for a music camp?  T-shirts and shorts
  • Lights out are at 11:00 p.m. for campers ages 14 and up and 10:00 p.m. for campers 13 and younger.
  • We are alcohol-free, drug-free, weapon-free, and tobacco-free. We do not permit vaping or e-cigarettes.
  • Leave all tools - Swiss Army knives, pocket knives, etc. - at home. If anyone chooses to bring anything to camp that might be included in this category, this item will be confiscated.
  • Any damage done by a camper to the camp facility, bus, someone else’s instrument, another person’s personal property, or The Company Hall will be the financial responsibility of the camper’s family.
  • After every meal, a group of campers will be responsible for cleaning the dining hall. This duty rotates among all the campers. However, it is not the responsibility of the clean-up crew to pick up dirty plates, empty cups, and other personal service items. All campers must clean up after themselves after each meal.
  • No food or beverages are allowed in the classrooms with the exception of water bottles.
  • The camp T-shirt is the uniform for the performance. Please don’t wear it before 5:00 p.m. on Friday night. All musicians need to be presentable when we go on stand.
