If you wish to apply for either a full or partial scholarship, please complete a scholarship application. Here is the basic scholarship information:
- We have a limited number of full and partial scholarships to award to campers who apply for scholarships. An application submission does not guarantee a scholarship to camp.
- The Scholarship Application Deadline is May 1.
- Scholarship recipients will be informed of any awards by June 1.
- If your child is not awarded a scholarship or is awarded a partial scholarship, any tuition balance is due before the start of camp.

Annual Scholarships
The Sweetness of Mary Scholarship, an annual scholarship
Many years ago, the 1st Michigan Colonial Fife and Drum Corps generously established the annual Sweetness of Mary Scholarship in honor of their cofounder, Mary Logsdon. Mary carried the heart of the 1st Michigan and supported the junior members of the Corps in any way she could. Her support helped the members find and reach their highest potential both in the Corps and in life. To honor Mary’s dedication to supporting youth development and youth activities, both in the Corps and in her role as a school teacher, the 1st Michigan created the Sweetness of Mary Scholarship to send young people to Junior Camp.
Drea's Drummers
Andrea (Drea) Wirth was a talented percussionist who loved rudimental drumming and worked very hard to teach people of all ages who were interested in history and drumming. She taught in her own corps, the Middlesex County Volunteers, as well as the Lincoln Minute Men, the Middlesex County 4H Fifes and Drums, and many revolutionary war field musicians in her role as a drummer with the 1st Foot Guards. Her support reached far and wide, helping innumerable people both in music and in life. In honor of her love of both music and learning, Drea's family and friends have created this scholarship to encourage aspiring young drummers—especially females—to develop skills at an early age by attending camp.
Deborah Bolcar
Known and "Mama Bolcar" to the Colonial Musketeers Junior Ancient Fife and Drum Corps, Deborah Bolcar was an advocate for music and fife and drum. She was their quartermaster and board member. She handled the procurement of uniform items, sewing, accoutrements, awards,... And all things morale. She cared for every child that walked through the doors of the community center to play historical music regardless of race, gender, or status. She believed that everyone deserves to play and learn; she even paid dues for children in need. She loved Devil's Flute and even learned a little fife on her own. Mrs Bolcar even learned how to drive a bus to make sure her corps children could go to events. She was a master at camping and cooking and earned the title of Chef Bolcardee when she made delicious pasta meals. Deborah Bolcar lost her battle with breast cancer in 2016.
