On GivingTuesday, November 29, 2022, people all around the world are coming together to tap into the power of human connection and strengthen communities and change our world. Will you be one of them?
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the annual fund this year. Together, the community has donated over $5,100 to support the mission of The Company of Fifers & Drummers. We’re 35% of the way to our goal of $15,000 and need your help to get us the rest of the way there!
Please consider donating to The Company of Fifers & Drummers to support the fife and drum community and to preserve and grow the fife and drum tradition.

About the Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is an annual initiative to support the operating expenses of The Company of Fifers & Drummers. As you may know, The Company of Fifers & Drummers sustains itself and the Museum building by offering individual and corps memberships, however these memberships cover only a portion of the annual operating budget. The Company of Fifers & Drummers relies heavily on donations as part of its funding plan and supplements as much as possible by applying for grants.
Our 2022 Annual Fund appeal goal is $15,000 and your tax-deductible donation will provide support for operating expenses including building upkeep and maintenance, fire and security monitoring, utilities (gas, electricity, phone, and internet), web hosting fees, and building and liability insurance. Contributing to the fund allows continuous operation of The Company of Fifers & Drummers from year to year. If you are interested in more financial details you can read our Financial Disclosure.
Current Projects
Some of the projects and events underway at The Company of Fifers & Drummers:
- Museum Upgrades - We are replacing all building and museum lighting with LED lights, including putting additional LED lighting in the ceiling of the Museum. This will result in better lit displays and overall interior visibility and provides over $700 in energy savings per year. We are also putting a UV Protective Coating on all of the windows in order to protect the collections from UV damage while still maintaining natural light in the museum.
- 3rd Annual Winter Workshop Series - Starting in January 2023, we will be hosting multiple online events to support the fife and drum community.
- Securing cloud-based storage for digitized Archives material, sound recordings, documents, etc. to ensure their safety and security.
- Old Guard Collaboration on Current Jam Tunes - Serving as a supplement to the current Company of Fifers & Drummers Music Books, this book will be comprised of about 75 tunes/medleys, with fife and drum parts as close to the most common jam version as possible.
