2022 Jaybird's Day Recap

October 1, 2022 marked the 46th celebration of Jaybirds Day! 

Jaybird’s Day 2022 was held indoors at the Company of Fifers & Drummers HQ and Museum in Ivoryton, CT. Jaybirds Day is our annual celebration of our “Old Timers”(technically, anyone over 60 qualifies) in the Fife and Drum community. Our 2022 Honored Jaybirds are Marty Bryan, Bob Castillo, Thomas DiSefano Jr, Michael Edson, Wayne Fournier, Jack Hannon, and Jim Ligouri. 

On October 1st, 75 people gathered together to celebrate our Jaybirds! Despite the dreary weather outside, the mood was happy and festive indoors. The morning started with coffee and pastries, visiting with friends and touring the museum. With the rain outdoors, we held lunch indoors and honored Jaybirds during it. The jam session started up shortly after.
