Get those instruments ready and come out on Saturday, April 7 for a fun afternoon of fifing and drumming at the 24th annual No Foolin’ Jam hosted by the Adamsville Ancients!

This year’s Jam will once again be held at the Irish American Center on 375 Ontario Street in Albany, New York. The festivities kick off at 1 pm with the first tune of the day and the jamming will continue in the big hall throughout the afternoon. Complimentary drinks and snacks will be available all afternoon and a delicious mid-afternoon buffet prepared by the Albany Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians will be served to all jam attendees. A cash bar will also be available.

Many jam attendees return year after year to renew friendships and help kick off the new fife and drum season at the No Foolin’ Jam! Local attendees include members of the Fyfes and Drums of Olde Saratoga and the Village Volunteers. The jam is also attended by musicians from all over New York and New England, including those from the Camden Continentals, Connecticut Patriots, Stony Creek, Black River, the Regulators, and Sudbury Ancients, among many other corps. A raffle is also held to help with the Jam expenses, so there will be many opportunities to win a great prize to boot!

2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the Adamsville Ancients and the corps is looking forward to kicking off their special year with a No Foolin’ Jam to remember!
