The Connecticut Blues Fife & Drum Corps have revived an old tradition of member corps volunteering for maintenance activities at the Museum of Fife and Drum. On February 10 the entire corps took on the cleaning activities and left the hall in great shape! The Blues didn’t stop there, though. They also rented the hall for a rehearsal immediately after!
Cleaning Days occur every quarter, generally a week before the Quarterly Meetings, and their purpose is to keep the Company of Fifers & Drummers Headquarters and Fife & Drum Museum clean and presentable to the members and general public. This typically includes dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms and surfaces/tables throughout the building.
A big “thank you” to the Connecticut Blues for donating their time to keep the HQ and Museum looking sharp!
