The Company of Fifers & Drummers held its Annual General meeting this past Saturday on April 8th. 17 corps were represented by their delegates and 14 individual members were also in attendance.

Board of Director Elections, 2017-2019 Term

It is time again for member corps to vote Company of Fifers & Drummers Board of Directors. The Company Board of Directors is comprised of an Administrative Committee (5 officers) and an Executive Committee (10 officers). The Administrative Committee has specific responsibilities for running the Company and the Executive Committee oversees Company activities, helps carry out the mission of the Company and reports to the body of the Company (corps delegates at quarterly General Meetings).

June 18 Strategic Planning Meeting

The Company of Fifers and Drummers Executive Committee held a special meeting on Saturday, June 18 to review the results of the 2016 Membership Survey and to begin the process of developing a draft strategic plan that will act as a North Star to guide Company decision-making for the next five years.  This special meeting was run as a workshop to explore new ways of looking at old problems, and to ensure that feedback from the fife and drum community was heavily weighted in that process.

Ancient Times Archives Now Online!

We are excited to announce that the entire catalog of The Ancient Times (The Company of Fifers & Drummers own publication) is now digitized and available for viewing and download to all visitors via The Company website. The publication, 133 issues spanning 1973 to 2014 represent a collective history of our community not written anywhere else.

2016 Company of Fifers & Drummers Survey Results

On March 12 a call was put out to the fife and drum community to take part in a survey. The intent was to help us all understand what the community expects of The Company of Fifers & Drummers, to assess how well The Company is meeting their needs, and to allow suggestions to be offered. In short, this survey exists to help shape the future of The Company of Fifers & Drummers.
