A great crowd came out on April 7 to enjoy a fun afternoon of fifing and drumming at the 24th annual No Foolin’ Jam hosted by the Adamsville Ancients.

The jam is held at the Irish American Center in Albany, New York each year, which is ideal for indoor jamming, and this year’s jam was no exception. The festivities kicked off at 1pm and the jamming continued in the big hall throughout the afternoon. This year the jam was attended by members of the local area corps, Olde Saratoga and the Village Volunteers, as well as representatives from Black River, Bluff Point Quahog Diggers Band, Camden Continentals, Connecticut Patriots, Milford Volunteers, Nutmeg Volunteers, Regulators, Stony Creek, Windsor, and the Young Colonials. Guests enjoyed a fabulous buffet meal prepared by the Albany Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians – they really go above and beyond every year! This year, a special cake was served to commemorate the Adamsville Ancients 30th Anniversary in 2018!

Muster buttons, ribbons and programs from the three Adamsville musters held in the early 1990s were also available as keepsakes. The jam raffle is a highlight of the jam each year. Not only does it help with the jam expenses, but excitement ensues as many of the jam guests walk away with fabulous prizes! Thank you to the many of our guests who attend the jam and also donate prizes to help the jam be the success that it is.

Below are just a few pictures of the fun day. Make sure you mark April 6, 2019 on your calendars as the Adamsville Ancients celebrate 25 years of the No Foolin’ Jam!
