International Organizations

International Organizations

The Company of Fifers & Drummers maintains relationships with organizations in other countries that seek to preserve the historical significance and folk traditions of fife and drum music. By interacting with and understanding each other better we broaden the bonds of fellowship across country lines. The Company of Fifers & Drummers encourages its members to visit  these sites and learn about the fife and drum traditions of other countries. 

 

  • CADRE - Canada

    CADRE is a Canadian drum ensemble founded to help preserve and promote rudimental drumming internationally and to provide support to the Canadian community of Rudimental drummers.

  • The Corps of Drums Society

    The Corps of Drums Society was founded in London in 1977, with the aim of preserving and promoting drum, fife and bugle music based on the traditions of the British Army.

  • Greek Rudimental Drumming Community

    GRDC community page, aiming to spread rudimental drumming in Greece.

  • Percussive Arts Society

    The Percussive Arts Society is the world's largest percussion organization and the central source for information and networking for percussionists and drummers of all ages.

  • Schweizerische Tambouren - und Pfeiferverband

    The Schweizerische Tambouren- und Pfeiferverband is the principal organizing body in Switzerland for drumming and fifing. Drumming and fifing is a valuable and inspiring cultural asset of Switzerland, which is cultivated in practically all parts of the country. The Schweizerische Tambouren- und Pfeiferverband unites four regional associations with a total of 174 drum and fife clubs under its roof.

  • Society of International Rudimental Drummers

    The Society of International Rudimental Drummers is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 in Paris by Drummers from 15 countries. The members are committed to share the tradition of international Rudimental Drumming.

  • Les Tambours de 89

    Les Tambours de 89 is the premier French organization dedicated to preserving traditional rudimental drumming in France. Created in September 1990, the association strives to celebrate French drumming, realizing various events such as festivals, gatherings, and masterclasses.
